Inpatient Tower and Hospital Expansion, Oak Lawn Illinois

The East Tower expansion is a new front door for the Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn Illinois. A new bedtower that houses ICU rooms is the anchor to this expansive project, which includes a new dropoff, kitchen, loading dock, bridge, and parking garage that serve the entire ACMC campus. The tower design sets the eastern edge of the campus with a dynamic façade of variegated glazing and fins, while on-unit respite spaces are housed in a glowing cowl that faces the campuses main entry.

Visitors enter through a new landscaped entry yard where a precast parking garage is connected via bridge to bring visitors directly into the new tower. The tower houses ICU rooms, a full Women’s Program with C-section Suites, LDR and post-partum rooms, as well as new kitchen and dining facilities that serve the entire campus.
