The Sheridan is Senior Lifestyles luxury brand, and provides some of the highest quality senior living available in Chicagoland. The site at Oak Brook is nestled into a corner of an existing parking lot, maximizing its footprint to provide 200 units of senior living across all three modalities; Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care.

With a concrete basement, heavy steel first floor, and cold formed metal framed bearing walls above, detailing facade elements was a delicate balance of design and constructability

A formal expression in warm brick fits the context of the surrounding community while breaking down the expansive floorplate into smaller expressions. Fiber cement panels inset in brick frame elements gather windows and incorporate the required mechanical louvers at each unit. Prefabricated balconies and moments of full glass walls provide unique moments to the smaller studio units.
